Definition
Sustained forward flights in which speed is maintained only by the loss of altitude. Also, ILS (instrument landing system) navigation facilities in the terminal area electronic navigation system providing vertical guidance for aircraft during approach and landing by radiating a directional pattern of UHF radio waves modulated by two signals which, when received with equal intensity, are displayed by compatible airborne equipment as an ON-PATH indication.
