Flood routing (Fcfhhf)

Definition
The process of determining progressively the timing and shape of a flood wave at successive points along a river. Determining the changes in a flood wave as it moves downstream through a valley or through a reservoir (then sometimes called reservoir routing). Graphic or numerical methods are used.
