Runoff (Jbhp)

That part of the precipitation which runs off the surface of a drainage area after accounting for all abstractions. Also, the total natural discharge of a stream for a year, usually expressed in millimeters of depth. Also, sustained or fair weather runoff. In most streams, base runoff is composed largely of groundwater effluent. Also, the runoff entering stream channels promptly after rainfall or snowmelt. Or, precipitation run-off.
