Potholes (Pavements) (Pmrcpppmbyp)

Bowl-shaped holes in the pavement surface, greater than 100 mm (4 in.) in diameter, and more than 25 mm (1 in.) in depth. Also, steep-sided holes of varying sizes resulting from localized disintegration often caused by poor drainage and aggravated by traffic loads. (Source: AASHTO Glossary)
