Primarily toys that resemble small automobiles; powered by gasoline engines or electric motors; purchased in kits and are approximately four or five feet in length when assembled; they come within the provisions of the motor vehicle code; also, very small automobiles that operate on city streets and highways; currently used to refer to the city car concept of mostly electric vehicles that can be rented and hold no more than two passengers.
