Supersonic flow (Smdffbp)

Definition
In this state, inertia forces are dominant so that flow has a high velocity and is usually described as rapid or shooting. Also, that flow which has a Froude number greater than unity. Flow at velocities greater than critical velocity; flow at depths less than critical depth. (Source: AASHTO Glossary)
