Peak periods (Wep)

Definition
The periods during which traffic levels rise from their normal background levels to maximum levels. These periods are for morning, evening or midday peaks and include appropriate peak hours. May also refer to periods when electricity consumption is at its maximum. (Source: AASHTO Glossary and Team)
